About Institute
Sagar Government ITI is an NCVT-affiliated industrial training Institute that was established on the 3rd of March,2016 by ‘Gobindapur Sephali Samaj Seba Samity’ and is situated at Purusatampur, Sagar, West Bengal 743373. It is a leading center for industrial training established to generate technical manpower in the rural area to meet local demands and provide technical education mainly to the unemployed youth.
The campus has an extensive landscape of about 2.6 acres with lush green environment and is fully equipped with all the infrastructural facilities free from pollution with greenery all over in the campus.
Government of West Bengal is Committed towards large scale Skill development for its youth population to improve the scope of gainful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities under the WBSDM (West Bengal Skill Development Mission) chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal.
To ensure that the above commitment is met successfully the Department of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development; Government of West Bengal has launched the “Utkarsh Bangla”, a flagship scheme on 16th February 2016 under the aegis of the PBSSD (Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development) for placement linked short-term skill trainings across the State of West Bengal.
Industrial Training Institutes and Industrial Training Centers are post-secondary schools in India constituted under Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Union Government to provide training in various trades.
